Woven Bowl was the highlight surprise of my final advanced studies at Sonoma State University. It is impossible to describe how thrilled I was when I opened the kiln to see for the first time how the glazing fired on this piece. How rewarding it was to lift out such a culmination of tricky hand-building techniques and custom formulated glaze recipes. Finally merging so much of what I had learned successfully just in time for my final critique was a truly fulfilling moment.

Though having tried several times unsuccessfully to repeat this glazing result, I am getting closer and look forward to the day when I can once again peer into the kiln and see that I have finally re-created one of my most elusive pieces.
