The Aqua Bowl Series is one of my most exciting firing processes as these raku glazes have a mind of their own and are challenging to complete successfully. I feel like a kid waiting for Santa every time I pull one of these pieces out of the reduction bin and start washing it off to reveal those all familiar raku-fired crackled patterns. It's impossible to predict when or where flashes of copper will appear and that makes these bowls such a joy to create.
